Electrical Engineer
**Use Your Power for Purpose**
The Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution provides electrical and controls expertise to support site operations at the Pearl River, NY R&D site. This role is primarily focused on planning, oversight, and vendor management for facility electrical, power distribution, and automation systems rather than day-to-day hands-on electrical work.
You will partner closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations, while contributing to capital planning, modernization efforts, and long-term site strategies.
**What You Will Achieve**
+ Provide **engineering oversight and technical guidance** for facility electrical and controls systems in regulated laboratory and office environments
+ Oversee **vendor and contractor work** related to power distribution, building systems, and critical utilities
+ Support **operations, maintenance programs, and capital projects** for:
+ Primary and backup power distribution systems
+ Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), security, and fire alarm systems
+ Facility and critical utility control systems
+ Contribute to **near- and long-term capital planning** , budgeting, and project execution
+ Provide technical input for **risk management, EHS, business continuity, and compliance** activities
+ Collaborate with Digital/Business Technology teams on facility-related automation and systems support
+ Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the Facilities/GWE organization
**Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements):**
+ Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience
+ Experience in designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems for HVAC, purified water, chillers, boilers, steam, and facility equipment
+ Proven ability to support facility operations, maintenance, and projects in regulated or technical environments
+ Demonstrated skills in project coordination, planning, and stakeholder management
+ Effective teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver critical customer service
**Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):**
+ Experience with BMS/automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell)
+ Familiarity with pharmaceutical, laboratory, or regulated facility environments
+ Project management experience and use of CMMS/EAM systems
+ Working knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and smart/IoT building technologies
**Work Environment**
+ Day shift with occasional after-hours or weekend support for planned maintenance or facility incidents
+ Onsite presence in laboratories, mechanical/electrical rooms, and office environments as needed
+ Periodic travel may be required

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $88,500.00 to $147,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
