In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.</p><p></p><p>We are searching for the best talent for a <b>Quality Control Technician II</b>.</p><p></p><p>The <b>Quality System Technician II</b> is responsible for ensuring orthopedic medical devices and components meet stringent quality, safety, and performance standards. This role performs detailed technical inspections, supports regulatory compliance, and works closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in a highly regulated environment.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p><b>Technical Inspection</b></p><ul><li>Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished medical devices.</li></ul><p><b>Blueprint & Specification Review</b></p><ul><li>Read, interpret, and apply complex engineering drawings and technical specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).</li></ul><p><b>Precision Measurement</b></p><ul><li>Utilize high-precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, optical comparators, and related measurement software.</li></ul><p><b>Advanced Inspection Equipment</b></p><ul><li>Operate and support automated inspection systems including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Sylvac Scan systems, and digital optical comparators. Troubleshooting experience is a plus.</li></ul><p><b>Quality Documentation & Compliance</b></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate inspection records, generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and ensure compliance with FDA and other applicable medical device regulations.</li></ul><p><b>ERP & Material Flow Management</b></p><ul><li>Manage product movement and inspection status within ERP systems such as BtB and SAP.</li></ul><p><b>Non-Conformance Management</b></p><ul><li>Identify and segregate non-conforming material, initiate Material Rejection Notices (MRNs), and collaborate with engineering and quality teams on root cause investigations and corrective actions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications / Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>A High School diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>An Associate’s degree in an Engineering or technical field is preferred.</li></ul><p><b>Experience - </b></p><ul><li><b>3-5 years</b> of mechanical inspection experience in a <b>highly regulated manufacturing environment</b> (medical devices, aerospace, or equivalent)</li></ul><p><b>Skills & Competencies</b></p><ul><li>Strong proficiency with <b>precision measurement tools and inspection software</b></li><li>Solid understanding of <b>GD&T and engineering documentation</b></li><li>Strong mathematical skills, including algebra and geometry</li><li>Proficient in <b>Microsoft Office</b> and database/ERP systems</li><li>Detail oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills</li></ul><p><b>Physical & Vision Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to <b>25 pounds</b></li><li>Must meet vision requirements, including <b>color vision and depth perception</b>, to accurately identify defects</li></ul><p></p><p><i>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
