What Strategic Partnership Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
Strategic Partnership Management is responsible for managing Cardinal Health's relationships with its strategic partners, which include Generic Pharmaceutical vendors such as Red Oak Sourcing. This enhanced relationship management translates into exceptional customer service, including maximizing the supply chain, negotiation of operational agreements and above the line revenue.
Job Summary
The Advisor of Strategic Partnership Management is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating programs.These programs involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources and Cardinal Healths internal budget, schedule and scope constraints while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Location - Targeting individuals located within commutable distance of our corporate headquarters (Central Ohio), as this team works in office once a week (which specific day each week can fluctuate based upon supplier meetings).
Responsibilities
Execute formulary changes from Red Oak Sourcing to internal stakeholders including deal buys, switches and ad-hoc reporting.
Collaboratively work cross-functionally with other internal Cardinal Health teams to strategically drive process efficiencies and customer service levels.
Maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of generic manufacturers through continuous communication, problem solving, and collaboration.
Coordinate and lead monthly calls with manufacturers to review service level metrics, supply information and key initiatives to ensure deliverables are being met.
Manage and monitor supply disrupted items to creatively produce alternative solutions and improve service levels.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Ideally targeting individuals with Pharmaceutical experience, preferred
Customer facing experience a plus
Supplier relationship management experience a plus
Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise
