NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, is seeking a full-time Chief of Vascular Surgery to lead our innovative and collaborative vascular surgery division. Woodhull Medical Center is a 400-bed Level II Trauma Center located in North Brooklyn, serving the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint as part of the NYC Health + Hospitals network.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee and expand our vascular surgery program. The Chief of Vascular Surgery will provide clinical leadership, foster program growth, mentor faculty and trainees, and promote excellence in patient care, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead clinical, academic, and administrative activities of the vascular surgery division
Ensure high standards of patient care and safety in vascular surgery services
Develop and expand clinical and research programs within the division
Mentor faculty, residents, and fellows, fostering a culture of education and innovation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Oversee division operations, including staffing, budgeting, and quality initiatives
Qualifications
· Must be Board Certified, with substantial professional experience; recent graduates will not be considered.
· Extensive clinical experience in both open and endovascular vascular surgery
· Proven leadership experience in an academic or hospital setting
· Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse urban healthcare environment
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package and a stimulating work environment, including:
Annual base salary: $410,000–$440,000
403(b)/457 participation with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement of $3,000–$3,500, including one week of paid CME time
Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 (contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics)
