Senior Manager, Employment Tax - Global Employer Services
Join Deloitte Tax LLP's Global Employer Services practice as a Senior Manager, Tax Services, where you will advise multinational organizations on compensation, benefits, mobility, and employment tax matters that support a global workforce. In this role, you will help clients manage program complexity, address compliance requirements, and align operational processes to business needs. You will also lead client service delivery, contribute to practice growth, and coach teams across complex engagements.
Work you'll do
As a Senior Manager, Tax Services on the Global Employer Services team, you will be responsible for:
Leading client engagements involving global employer services matters, including compensation, benefits, mobility, equity, and employment tax considerations
Managing engagement teams, project plans, budgets, and deliverables across multiple client priorities
Advising multinational clients on program design, operational processes, and compliance considerations affecting their workforce programs
Reviewing client data, processes, and reporting outputs to identify issues, support decision-making, and recommend next steps
Supporting practice development through client relationship management, proposal support, and team coaching

Qualifications
Required:
Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, International Business, Finance, Economics, Cross-Cultural Studies, or another liberal arts discipline
8+ years of experience in employment tax, global personal income tax compliance and consulting, global compensation rewards, transactions, mobility consulting, and/or global talent strategy consulting
Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in state of practice/primary office
If not CPA eligible:
Licensed Attorney
Enrolled Agent (EA)
Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP)
Certified Equity Professional (CEP)
Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
Certified Pension Consultant (CPC)
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:
Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, Human Resources, Finance, Economics, International Business, or another related field
Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience working on large, complex client engagements
Experience with data analysis, quantitative analysis, and project management
Experience preparing and delivering presentations to executive-level stakeholders
Experience developing customized client solutions and managing multiple assignments in a team environment

This compensation range is specific to Illinois and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $141,150 to $288,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
